The story

Dushi came from doce and dulce, the Portuguese and Spanish for sweet, and then took over the islands, where it covers a good meal and the person you are talking to. A stranger can call you dushi at the market with nothing meant by it. Papiamentu has been official on Curaçao since 2007.
